JOB SUMMARY:

The School of Education in the Ruth S. Ammon College of Education and Health Sciences is currently seeking an endowed Full or Associate Professor position in Early Childhood Education starting fall 2022. The College is deeply committed to a community of excellence, equity, and diversity and welcomes applications from all backgrounds.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead the School of Education in Early Childhood curriculum innovation and collaboration with the Alice Brown Early Learning Center.
2. Help promote a research culture in the School of Education.
3. Actively seek grant opportunities for the Early Childhood program and the Early Learning Center.
4. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Early Childhood Education or related subjects.
5. Provide service to school, college, university, and community.
6. Aid in student recruitment and retention efforts in collaboration with the college and the university.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Earned doctoral degree in Early Childhood or related fields.
2. A track record of scholarship.
3. Extensive experience with Early Childhood and childcare centers.
4. Strong understanding of the trend in Early Childhood development and learning.
5. Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.
