Assistant Professor of Nursing – BSN Program

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences provides programs for Exercise Science as well as for Nursing, which includes the BSN pre­licensure, MSN, and DNP programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provide both didactic and clinical instruction in the BSN program and other programs as needed to meet the needs of the SNHS and Florida Southern College.
2. Maintain positive relationships and active collaborations with the major clinical/community serving the BSN program.
3. Demonstrate collaboration, collegiality, and support for program excellence.
4. Provide advising and mentoring for students to advance student success.
5. Engage in research and/or scholarly activities.
6. Engage in professional and community service
7. Contribute to ongoing curriculum and program improvements.
8. Participate in faculty governance through service on Program, School, and College committees.
9. Contribute to a learning environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIREMENTS
1. Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
2. Florida registered nursing licensure (active or eligible). 
3. Desired are a completed doctorate in nursing or related field, and an established record of teaching and clinical experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Regular standing and walking; talking and hearing, in person, in virtual environment and by telephone; use of hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment, classroom, and lab materials; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
