The Southeast Missouri State University Office of Admissions applies a student-centered approach to its work with prospective students. The admissions program is integral to the University's enrollment management efforts and is responsible for developing new student and transfer enrollment to meet institutional enrollment goals.

The successful candidate will become part of a highly motivated, energetic recruitment/admissions team. The position will provide leadership for the University's technology platforms and communication strategies related to new student recruitment initiatives.

Required Qualifications
Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage constituent relationship management (CRM) system
  • Execute communication plans including use of email, direct mail, text messaging, telecounseling, and live chat
  • Collaborate with University Marketing on lead gen initiatives
  • Purchase and import search names from a variety of vendors (i.e. ACT, College Board, NRCCUA, Cappex)
  • Load official test score reports (i.e. ACT and College Board)
  • Import prospective student lists (i.e. college fair scans) and oversee data entry of paper prospect forms
  • Select, train, and supervise student employees for prospective student data entry and direct mail assembly
  • Maintain several IT created databases (i.e. recruit updater, admissions recruiter maintenance, query system, cost calculator)
  • Request new user account creations, provide training and support to users of technology platforms (i.e. CRM, query system)
  • Perform data integrity checks daily (i.e. duplicate detection, ERP jobs)
  • Compile data for sharing with the campus community
  • Maintain Admission web site
  • Select and care for equipment (i.e. mobile phones, laptops, copiers, printers, projectors)
  • Responsibility for maintaining multiple inventory items (i.e. publications, promotional products, office supplies)
  • Support on-and off-campus events as needed


Required Information & Deadline

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
  • Strong evidence of computer skills including database management, word processing, and spreadsheet experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong evidence of experience developing and posting content to web pages to advance recruitment
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively to both large and small groups
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with diverse populations
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds of publications and display materials with or without accommodations
  • Demonstrates innovative approaches in problem solving
  • Exercises sound judgment
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
  • Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
