The University of Maryland, School of Nursing (UMSON) is currently recruiting for an Academic Services Compliance Coordinator.

Primary Duties:

  • Assists in coordination of clerical work for a department or program. Plans work flow of assigned clerical tasks or function.
  • Processes a variety of documents requiring knowledge of relevant departmental policies and procedures and interaction with others. Assembles, complies, and edits data and records. Prepares worksheets, and reports.
  • Identifies and resolves clerical processing problems. Recommends new or revised procedures.
  • Maintains manual and automated record-keeping and filing systems. Enters and retrieves data. Codes, sorts, and files documents and materials.
  • Reviews and verifies statistical and other reports for completeness and accuracy of computations.
  • Operates office equipment such as personal computers, typewriters, calculators, facsimile machines, and photocopiers.
  • Coordinate administrative activities of the graduate placement process to optimize placement opportunities in graduate programs.   
  • Coordinate compliance for graduate and undergraduate programs. 
  • Ensure students meet compliance regulations and the school is fulfilling compliance obligations.  
  • Communicate with clinical placements team on requirements for student placements.
  • Perform student fit testing and donning/doffing validation, as necessary, with proper documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

  

Education: Bachelor's degree.

Experience: Two (2) years of related experience.  Experience and/or knowledge of databases, student services, or higher education in an academic setting preferred.

Other: Related experience may be substituted for education.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of position requirements. Knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently. Ability to demonstrate, understand, apply, and adhere to the UMB Core Values of Respect and Integrity, Well-being and Sustainability, Equity and Justice, and Innovation and Discovery.

Hiring Range: Mid-$40,000s to mid-$50,000s; commensurate with education and experience.
