Xavier University, a Jesuit Catholic Institution, invites applications for the position of Regional Recruitment Director in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for 3 areas:
  • Fayetteville, North Carolina area
  • San Antonio, Texas area
  • Seattle, Washington area
The Regional Recruitment Director is the primary representative of Xavier University’s Student Veterans Center in a geographic region targeting military affiliated populations and military installations. In this role, an individual will work directly with prospective students and their parents, high school guidance counselors and transfer officers at high schools and other education institutions. The Regional Recruitment Director will be responsible for creating a comprehensive military marketing and recruitment plan for their geographic territory. The Regional Recruitment Director will develop relationships with these constituencies to convey information about utilization of military benefits as it relates to University admissions policies, academic programs and specific features of Xavier’s campus and the Student Veterans Center. This position requires a very high level of autonomy, independence and self-direction.

The Regional Recruitment Director will be expected to conduct significant travel (50%) in their territory between early September and mid-November and mid-January to mid-April. They will prepare and execute a thorough recruitment plan, develop and maintain relationships with military installations and organizations, military members, military-affiliated students, high school counselors and alumni that will increase enrollment from the territory. In addition, the role will be responsible for development and implementation of admission recruitment activities as part of the military affiliated recruitment strategy including planning and attending high school and installation visits, attending college nights/days and college fairs and military career and education fairs, organizing and leading group information sessions and regional receptions and managing assigned recruitment territory. The Regional Recruitment Director markets, monitors and provides tracking of prospective students in assigned territory; establishing and maintaining relationships with high school counselors thorough documentation of student contacts in Slate database and regularly communicates with prospective students through personalized written, e-mail and telephone contact.

The Ideal Applicant Will Have:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • A bachelor’s degree is required, with a master’s being preferred
  • A military affiliation is preferred but not required
