Position Details
Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
The Department of Management, Marketing, and Information Systems at Sam Houston State University ( SHSU ) is seeking applicants for a tenure track position in Organizational Behavior for as early as Spring 2023.
Duties will include teaching, both face-to-face, on-line, and hybrid undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of organizational behavior and related management areas, conducting research and publishing in scholarly journals, and providing services to the department, college, University, and appropriate national organizations. We seek individuals who are excellent teachers that can bring experience-based credibility to the classroom while also advancing the increasing research reputation of both the department and the college. Qualification as Scholarly Academic under AACSB standards (as defined by SHSU’s COBA ) and ability to maintain that qualification. Educational Requirements for the Position
PhD in Management or Business Administration from an AACSB accredited University; ABD considered. Experience Required for the Position
Evidence of teaching effectiveness in organizational behavior-related courses at the university level is required. Experience with both in-person and online teaching is desired. Industry experience is a plus. Other Requirements for the Position
Individual will teach 9 hours per long semester, engage in quality research, and support the department, college, and university through service. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to publish in peer reviewed journals. Candidates must be committed to a student-centered approach and have a passion for teaching and mentoring a diverse student population. Special Instructions Summary Open Until Filled Yes
