This position is responsible for various professional duties in the daily operation of Legal Affairs. In addition to administrative support to the Vice President for Legal Affairs and General Counsel, this position has primary responsibility for budgetary and personnel administration, procurement and general business functions associated with the daily operation of the department.

The position also assigns, directs and provides oversight to the Law Clerk. The position requires a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills and a high degree of flexibility in dealing with the Board of Regents, President, Executive Team, Faculty/Staff, Students, Media, and Community Members. Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for daily and long range schedule of the Vice President exercising professional judgment in coordinating conflicting and sensitive issues.

Create internal as well as external communications, including updates with outside legal counsel concerning litigation schedules.

Responsible for budget reductions and budget maintenance, including reconciliation of PCards and budget accounts for division. Also provides support for the budget planning process.

Provide administrative support to Vice President for Legal Affairs and General Counsel and Associate General Counsel.

All SAP functions/transactions and substitute approver for VP.

Provide leadership and training to new employees in the division regarding office best practices. Direct and manage the work flow of Law Clerk.

Management of HR functions including but limited to PARs and Annual Performance Reviews.

Prepare and coordinate Personal Services Contracts and Request for Proposals.

Initiate and monitor travel arrangements including, preparation, authorizations, approvals, and tracking.

Responsible for the required updates to Legal Affairs website. Qualifications
Background Paralegal, Business Management or Organizational training required.

Experience in Microsoft Office products/Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

SAP functions such as FI, ESS / MSS, Business Explorer, Budget Planning preferred.

Any candidate who is offered this position will be required to go through a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law. Minimum Education Acceptable Equivalency Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree Minimum Experience 10 years Salary $42,549 minimum annually Pay Grade S70
