Job Summary:

Facilities Technician II at the Heating & Cooling Plant is responsible for assisting plan clean-up efforts in preparation for the hosting of the Big 10 & Friends Utility Conference tour to be hosted by UW-Madison.

Responsibilities:

Inspects, maintains, and repairs basic equipment and facilities to ensure property meets established standards and to prevent further damage. Assists with construction, and operational maintenance as needed.
  • 40% Utilizes equipment to repair and maintain standard machinery, equipment, and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation
  • 25% Performs routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness
  • 10% Troubleshoots, escalates, and documents issues according to established policies and procedures
  • 5% Receives, inspects, inventories, and distributes deliveries to appropriate entities under general supervision
  • 20% Assists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as needed
