Job Summary
Applications are invited for an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor tenure-track position (Preference – Full Professor) in Cybersecurity beginning Fall Semester 2022. Review of applications will begin immediately, and the position will remain open until filled.
Essential Functions
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct research to publish in top research journals and to pursue research grants (NSF, NIH, and other funded opportunities.
- Teach appropriate courses at the graduate level.
- Provide service to the Computer Science Department, the Soules College of Business, the University of Texas at Tyler, and the Tyler Community.
Required Qualifications
- D. in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science.
- Evidence of effective teaching.
- Have an established research program including a strong record of publication in top research journals and in acquiring funded research opportunities (NSF, NIH, and other grants).
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to teach in an online environment.

Additional Information
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
