Job Summary:

Connecticut College is conducting a regional search for highly qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Registrar. Reporting to the Associate Registrar for Operations and under the general direction of the Registrar, the Assistant Registrar is responsible for assisting with the annual curriculum collection, scheduling, and maintenance process. The Registrar's office is a dynamic, cohesive team, dedicated to supporting the academic mission and the needs of students, faculty, alumni, and staff. Compensation includes an excellent benefits package.


General Duties & Responsibilities:

The Assistant Registrar works with the Associate Registrar for Operations, the Academic and Administrative Procedures Committee, and the departments to produce the semester course schedules and to maintain and produce the College catalog. This position also oversees and coordinates the self-scheduled and scheduled exam process at the end of each semester. Duties include maintaining catalog updates and changes in SmartCatalog, maintaining updates and changes to catalog and current course schedule data in Banner, solicitation and preparation of the exam schedule, supporting Registrar's office operations including, but not limited to, registration and graduation, and providing support to the Academic and Administrative Procedures Committee.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience in a registrar's office or closely related department required; Master's degree preferred. Qualified candidates must be able to analyze and problem solve, have excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work accurately and independently with considerable judgement and to prioritize multiple projects, and a demonstrated commitment to working in a diverse and inclusive environment. Candidates must also be able to maintain confidentiality, provide exceptional customer service, have the ability to adapt to a changing environment, and be committed to working as part of a team. Advanced proficiency in MS Office and Google and experience with student information systems or an ERP system, such as Banner, Colleague, or Peoplesoft, are required. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends is required.
