Job Description

Under administrative direction, the Office Supervisor will be the principal communication channel for administrative needs of The Learning and Teaching Hub (LTH). This individual will work in a diverse, multicultural environment to coordinate, organize, and implement complex and confidential financial and administrative projects for the Director and leadership of the unit. This position will also support the Hub with front office management, supporting student employment needs, staff onboarding and coordinating special meetings and events. This individual will be the origin point for financial transactions and reporting, providing action items and support for the financial process through to completion and audit. This individual works closely with and supports the Director in preparing agendas, maintaining official records, coordinating meetings and schedules, travel, and assisting in other projects and assignments. In addition they will support the leadership with student employment recruiting, hiring, and onboarding as well as supporting staff with various training modules in Career Edge, and any other ASU systems.

 

Salary Range

$43,863 to $60,500 per year; DOE

Minimum Qualifications

Six years of office/clerical experience, which includes two years of lead experience; OR, Associate's degree in Office Administration, Business Administration or a related field AND four years of clerical/administrative experience which includes two years of lead experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • Experience working with diverse populations and cultures
  • Evidence of effective communications skills
  • Demonstrated evidence of computer knowledge and skills; extensive knowledge of MS Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as Google G Suite collaboration products.
  • Experience managing shared documents and permissions through cloud environments like Dropbox, Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive
  • Experience utilizing interactive communications tools such as Zoom and Slack
  • Evidence in having math skills; using calculations involving fractions, percentages and ratios.
  • Demonstrated knowledge reading and analyzing business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Experience in maintaining confidentiality and exercise discretion and sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience recruiting, hiring and on-boarding employees or student workers.
  • Evidence of commitment to the principles of diversity and inclusivity. 

 

Working Environment

  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
  • Frequently required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
  • This position receives regular review of objectives.
