Position Description
Working closely with the Director of Administration and the Chair of the Department of Art, Film, and Visual Studies (AFVS), this position serves two roles. They work closely to administer faculty searches, promotions and AFVS Department meetings. This position supports the pedagogical vision as well as the administrative direction of the department.
This position also centralizes administrative approaches and, working with Studio and Film/Video staff, initiates a centralized approach for setting, implementing and overseeing curricular goals and resources. They work to establish procedures and policies to insure the seamless sharing of student resources. Forging greater connections between the two units, they develop transparent, standardized practices and approaches for sharing resources as well as a common vision to support the needs of faculty and students. This position also contributes to onboarding for Teaching Teams and Staff.
