Exercise judgment to plan and perform a sequence of operations in the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of HVAC equipment, including refrigeration equipment and commercial kitchen equipment Qualifications

An advanced knowledge of the operation and repair of HVAC systems equivalent to 1-2 years practical trades training or previous work experience is required.

Must be certified to recover and purchase refrigerants.

At least 2 years additional practical experience is required.

Must provide own hand tools.

A valid driver’s license is required; ability to drive both a manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

Job Specific Qualifications
. Responsibilities
Trouble shoot, diagnose and repair/replace pneumatic, electric and air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilating equipment.

Remove, repair and install compressors, blowers, burners, motors, fans and drive equipment, belts, bearing, etc.

Oil and grease motors and associated compressor equipment.

May be required to perform duties of Steamfitter. Physical Requirements
Repetitive standing,bending, stooping, crawling, walking, daily lifting of items that weigh up to 50 pounds, pushing, and pulling. Tools/Equipment
Operate test equipment including volt OHM meter, amprobe, recovery equipment and refrigeration gages.

Use a variety of electrical and hand tools including electrical pliers, screwdrivers, crescent wrenches, tube cutters, etc. Application Instructions
