The Director of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions will work with the iSchool’s academic leadership to determine and reach optimal enrollment levels, distribution, and quality for the graduate programs. These include main campus and online master’s, doctoral and certificate of advanced studies programs. The director will serve on the leadership team to make recommendations on critical issues and decisions that impact enrollment and will work collaboratively with other units like employer relations, alumni relations, and strategic marketing to enhance efforts in recruitment and engagement as well as the overall quality of experience for prospects, students, alumni, faculty, and staff. The Director of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions will report to the Dean of the School Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s preferred in business, information systems, higher education, marketing, communications, or related field
Minimum 5 years of recruitment experience in higher education is strongly preferred. Job Specific Qualifications
  • Understanding of higher education administration including, but not limited to, admissions, student registration, billing, financial aid, curriculum development, credit transfers, international student processes, etc.
  • Ability to relate well with student in one-on-one and group settings.
  • Able to be effective leader and communicator in cross cultural settings.
  • Strong computer skills to include Word, Excel and CRM platforms with ability to maintain, analyze, and report data.
  • Experience in developing and executing financial aid plans and budgets.
  • Excellent organization, planning and project management experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with capability of establishing and maintaining strong rapport through distance communication tools.
  • The ability to obtain a passport is required.
Responsibilities
Recruitment. In collaboration the Strategic Marketing and Communications team, develop a marketing plan for all graduate programs and raise the awareness of the School of Information Studies to appropriate and relevant audiences. Use a customer relationship management system ( CRM ) for full funnel management from prospects to enrollments. Actively engage with various audiences and represent both the school and the university internally and externally.

Explore and pursue opportunities for agreements and partnerships with other educational institutions and organizations including domestic, foreign, governmental, corporate, and military.

Develop a global recruitment plan which involves the assessment and knowledge of political and economic climates, educational systems, language, and cultural issues related to student mobility. Some travel is required.

Admissions. Develop admission policies and processes in accordance with university, visa, and accreditation policies. Monitor and analyze enrollment patterns, student profiles, financial aid distribution and other appropriate areas to support enrollment planning and oversee the execution of admission review for campus and online students. Manage related data and report to the dean, associate deans, program directors, senior staff, and other stakeholders.

Management and Strategy. Provide leadership, strategic direction and management in the development, coordination, and implementation of the school’s graduate enrollment plan. Work with the iSchool’s academic leadership to determine and reach optimal enrollment levels, distribution, and quality for the graduate programs. The director will analyze and develop effective reports for recruitment, communications, admissions, and budget to all stakeholders. In addition to establishing enrollment goals, work with the Director of Budget and Administration to establish budgetary goals and a robust financial aid plan to enhance enrollment. Manage and supervise the staff in Graduate Recruitment and Admissions.
