Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job Summary
The Executive Office Assistant provides confidential and executive-level administrative support to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success. Reporting to the Vice President, this position is responsible for a broad set of assignments and is expected to handle many sensitive and confidential issues. This position manages the daily operations of the Office of the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success and assists the Vice President in the management, operations, and administration of the division. This position regularly requires exercise of independent judgment.
Responsibilities
- Provides confidential and executive-level administrative support to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success
- Responsible for a broad set of assignments and is expected to handle many sensitive and confidential issues
- Manages the daily operations of the Office of the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success and assists the Vice President in the management, operations, and administration of the division.
- Ability to regularly exercise of independent judgment
- Responsible for effectively managing and scheduling the Vice President's extensive meeting schedule while maintaining the ability to react to quickly emerging issues.
- Serves as communications link with constituents, including state officials, university administration, faculty, staff, and students within Albany State
- Serves as the primary contact for all matters related to the Vice President's schedule and activities and as such, must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be well grounded in the university image and exhibit well developed skills in diplomacy, tact and team building
- Supervises all student assistant employees
Eduatcon
Bachelor's degree preferred or high school diploma with six to eight years job related experience.
Experience
Advanced skills in general office administration including: budget administration, unit level procurement processing, document production and management, records management, event management, problem solving and office organization. Skill in the use of advanced office and financial related computer applications is required.
Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as familiarity with procurement
and accounts payable practices
Proposed Salary
Salary Range is from $28,000 to $38,000

- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced academic research environment is essential.
- Ability to manage involvement in multiple projects essential.
- Ability to build collaborative work relationships among key stakeholders within Enrollment Management as well as other campus offices.
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to analyze, develop and maintain efficient office work flow and administrative
- processes.
- Ability to provide accurate referrals for clients/customers seeking information from the
- University or any unit in Enrollment Management.
- Ability to build collaborative work relationships among other offices involved in critical
- enrollment management services.
- Ability to think critically with the capability to identify problems, flexibility and
- adaptability while showing initiative and resourcefulness to deal with change.
