Location

Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary

The Department of Natural Sciences at Albany State University invites applications for two tenure track faculty positions in Biology at the rank of Assistant Professor. The start date of the positions is August 2022.

Responsibilities

- Teaching 12 credit hours of courses per semester including introductory biology sequences for majors and non-majors, and possibly upper level biology courses related to animal sciences, ecology, or human/public health.

- Advising students

- Engaging in scholarly activities

- Participating in service to department, university, and community

Required Qualifications

- PhD in biological sciences or closely related fields

- The candidates’ areas of expertise may include, but not be limited to ecology, human health, or neuroscience.

-The candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate with different age groups along with students of various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. In addition, communication should be central to teaching strategies, advisement and academic preparation.

Proposed Salary

Salary range is from $50,000 to $53,000
