Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary

The Director of Client Services is a key member of the ITS leadership team, this position is responsible for directing and managing the day-to-day operations of the University-wide Client Services staff, manage deployment projects, desktop applications and new technologies to achieve the University's objectives and advance the University1s mission. Daily functions include desktop support functions, reviewing work-tickets from the service desk system, reports to CIO, assigning the work to Client Services support staff and supervising their work and act as a mentor for support staff and student assistants.

The Director of Client Services develops high-level strategy delivery of ITS desktop systems, devices, and peripherals to meet and exceed the changing expectations of the university community. This position accomplishes objectives by designing, documenting, and monitoring information systems, as well as by managing staff and creating an environment of superior client support and technical performance. As part of the ITS Leadership Team, works closely with the CIO, other IT Directors, and staff to provide excellent technology services to ASU students, faculty, staff and the University constituents

Responsibilities
  • Leads tactical technology planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future Technologies and reports those plans to the CIO
  • Works with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new endpoint Technology :implementations
  • Documents and reports progress and operations to the CIO
  • Manages the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, maintenance, upgrade, and support of all ITS client endpoint solutions including desktop, mobile and peripheral equipment ensuring clear communications of these activities to the campus users.
  • Develops, implements and oversees standard operating procedures for Client Services department
  • Assist the CIO with business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and :initiatives
  • Initiates the purchase of equipment and supplies in order to meet operational requirements of the business
  • Assist CIO in developing immediate and multiyear strategic plans for endpoint user solutions.
  • Provides the CIO recommended resolutions to technical problems in a cost-effective manner
  • Manages Client Services staffing, including, day-to-day supervision, scheduling, professional development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions in coordination with CIO
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor degree in technology or a related field or equivalent combination of degree and 10 years work experience in an Information Technology department or division

Must qualify for University Credit Card within 6 months of hire
5 years experience in an Information Technology department or division in a university setting
3 years experience in a management role within Information Technology
Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite and modern reporting tools
Direct, hands-on experience with automated software management tools.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Proposed Salary

Salary range is from $67,000 to $80,000
