Location

Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary

The Director of Undergraduate Admissions & Recruitment provides administrative direction to the planning, budgeting, execution, and evaluation of recruitment, admissions, high school partnerships and off-campus student support services. The Director of Undergraduate Admissions & Recruitment evaluates the effectiveness of the University's admissions and recruitment services and recommends strategies for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

The Director of Undergraduate Admissions & Recruitment will manage a complex, high-impact office environment with large volumes of data in accordance with laws, rules, and regulations. This position collaborates with Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management to establish enrollment goals, recruiting, and marketing and communication strategies. Additionally, the position benchmarks best practices for all phases of the enrollment process and provides direction for a comprehensive territory management recruitment effort.

The Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment will maintain knowledge of new developments and innovative admissions and recruitment practices in higher education; ensure proper recruitment, admissions, and record keeping procedures are implemented and followed; direct the integration of the admissions and enrollment processes, supervising (in accordance with FERPA guidelines) the services provided to students, applicants, faculty and staff regarding student applicant records, and college policies on admissions, records and graduation; coordinate a comprehensive, automated recruitment tracking system using technology to establish contact with a prospective student; assess, enhance, and manage student records systems.

This position serves as a primary liaison for admissions to academic colleges and departments to support the transition of accepted applicants to matriculation; manages staff responsible for the recruitment and admissions of students and is responsible for the coordination of all activities related to the determination of decisions for admissions; responsible for the design and strategic implementation of communication plans for prospects, applicants, and admitted students; oversees and coordinates campus visitations, tours, and other recruitment related events; responsible for ensuring the adoption of technology to effect positive change to the business processes and practices required for admitting students to the University; analyzes and evaluates situations, processes, and procedures to determine best business practice and recommend or implement changes as needed.

The Director of Undergraduate Admissions & Recruitment provides leadership in process analysis and improvement to staff within Board of Regents rules and policies; participates in strategic networking and community outreach to advance the University brand locally, regionally, and throughout the State of Georgia; coordinates print, media and online communications to develop a dynamic institutional communications program; develops and maintains the admissions office's recruitment and marketing plan with the purpose of promoting the University's visibility and general recruitment efforts; evaluates and executes exception processing for admissions decisions on applicant files; develops and monitors statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies, yield management, forecasting, and operational efficacy; supports development, implementation, and assessment of the Admissions unit plan; performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor's degree is required with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience

Excellent skills needed in use of Microsoft Office Productivity suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)

Experience should include but is not limited to: ERP/CRM (Banner preferred), Crystal Reports or similar reporting software, SPSS (or other 3rd party analysis tools), Social Networking, and a general understanding of other software tools use in the course of recruitment, admissions, and matriculation

Preferred Qualifications

A master's degree is preferred and may substitute for a portion of the experience sought

Proposed Salary

Salary range is from $66,500 to $80,000

Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Ability to analyze, develop and maintain efficient office work flow and administrative processes
