Location

Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Associate Dean for Student Engagement, the Student Engagement Specialist directs and coordinates student engagement support services and functions, in collaboration with the Student Engagement Team, to enhance the growth and development of all students by providing leadership, student success and programming support for all students to engage with the campus and the community.

Responsibilities

This professional will provide office support to the Associate Dean for Student Engagement

Facilitate assessment procedures of services provided by the Office for Student Engagement

Co-manage the everyday operations of the Student Engagement Office

Coordinate staff and student travel related to university functions

Supervise and coordinate the hiring of student staff of 5+

Assist with monitoring student center attractions, lab space and provide technical support for students when needed.

Maintain flexible work hours for weekend and late night programming.

This professional will also manage the Office of Student Engagement Social Media accounts

Provide website support

Work collaboratively with the security personnel in the student centers to ensure that all students are safe and engaged.

Required Qualifications

Education:

Associates Degree in related field

Experience:

1+ years of work related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Experience:

3+ years of work related experience

Proposed Salary

Salary range is from $32,000 to $36,000

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge:

· Knowledge and experience using integrated software systems and Microsoft applications (with proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Publisher, Excel, and PowerPoint presentation,)

· Experience designing marketing materials

· Knowledge with social media management

Skills:

· Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail;

· Demonstrated excellent oral and written interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, faculty, and the general public;

· Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationship with students, employees and the public;

· Skill in facilitating and modeling a quality customer service orientation;

Abilities:

· Ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, late nights and weekends as needed;

· Ability to travel when needed

· Ability to work flexible work station and serve two campuses

· Ability to work effectively with the student population

· Ability to efficiently multi-task and conduct/complete independent work assignments.
