Location
Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Athletics or designee, the Administrative Assistant, provides administrative level secretarial and clerical service for Director of Athletics and Department of Athletics
Responsibilities
- Prepares memorandums and other correspondence.
- Assists in planning select events in conjunction with other department or university officials.
- Composes agenda and meeting minutes.
- Responsible for answering the main athletic phone line and gives information to callers or routes calls to appropriate official and places outgoing calls.
- Works with word processing, spreadsheet and database software to complete administrative tasks.
- Composes and types routine correspondence and prepares materials for special events such as invitations, guest lists, RSVPs, programs, etc.
- Files correspondence and other records.
- Assists with of game day operations for all sport programs.
- Responsible for maintaining and ordering of office supplies.
- Schedules appointments and makes changes to calendar as necessary for the Director of Athletics.
- Schedules room reservations and meetings and records minutes of staff meetings and makes copies of correspondence.
- Prepares outgoing mail.
- Orders, stocks and inventories office supplies as necessary and process purchases of such items.
- Processes a variety of documents, forms and files.
- Completes duties and responsibilities in compliance with University System of Georgia, institution, NCAA, SIAC and Peach Belt policies and guidelines.
- Assists with travel arrangements for the Director of Athletics.
- Data entry for purchase and travel related functions.
- Other Duties as assigned
High School Diploma / GTD
2 Years of Experience
1 year of experience with a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
1 year of experience in customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate Degree
4 Years of Experience
Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics.
Knowledge of University System of Georgia and NCAA rules and regulations
Proposed Salary
Salary range is from $25,000 to 33,000
