Summary:
To assist the Associate Director of Facilities and represent Residential Life & Housing (RLH). This position will work closely with FMD to audit work orders, look for trends/patterns of work orders being submitted. This position will help
coordinate projects for Residential Life and Housing, including inventory tracking, storage space usage, access control, and Fire and Safety.
Typical Duties:
- •Auditing of Work Orders that are requested by staff and
students and identifying trends of building issues
•Budgeting in relation to Work Orders
•Auditing Work Orders for trends/patterns
•Manage smaller projects (painting common areas, common area refurbishing)
•Create and manage Inventory Tracking (implementing a common area furniture plan/Tracking)
•Tracking of storage space and space management for the department
•Assisting with day-to-day facilities, turnover, and summer projects
•Access Control for the department and other stakeholders
•Serve as the Fire and Safety Liaison with Risk Management. Coordinate and escort State Fire Marshal while inspecting Residence Halls.
•Other Tasks as Assigned
• Demonstrated ability in the integrated logistical planning of facilities-related projects.
•Skills in planning and coordination of complex assignments and projects across multiple
organizational units.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituents both orally and in writing,
including the delivery of presentations.
•Proficiency in Office software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet.
•Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to supervise and work effectively with professional and non-professional personnel.
• Bachelor’s degree
•Ability to work in a diverse environment
Preferred:
•Master’s in Higher education/Student Affairs, Project Management, (may look at some others)
•Experience working in Higher education or Residence Hall environment
•Experience in Work Order management systems (OCM)
•Experience with Fire and Safety
Salary Range: $55,000- $57,000
