Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities

Under general supervision, the Business Operations & Data Coordinator will manage and coordinate operational activities, data
coordination, and integration functions within the Community Outreach and Education (COE) division at Massey
Cancer Center. Financial management, contract administration, budget reporting, grant finances, and overseeing all
HR management functions for the operational activities and COE team. The Business Operations & Data Coordinator will provide
administrative support to the Executive Director of COE and assigned management staff.

Minimum Hiring Standards

Massey Cancer Center supports a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment. The candidate will demonstrate experience that shows their commitment to fostering such an environment.

Experience in financial management, contract administration, budget development and coordination, and
grant fiscal monitoring; public administration including current budgetary and fiscal operations and controls.

Experience in data collection, data coordination, data integration, and data pipeline development for cross-
departmental merger record keeping, and report preparation.

Experience in business letter writing, PP presentations, scheduling meetings, and preparing agendas, and

Ability to present ideas, concepts and recommendations clearly and concisely in oral, written and chart form;
investigate and analyze issues and problems and prepare recommendations on a variety of issues.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred Hiring Standards

Bachelor’s Degree, and 3 years of work-related experience. An appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications will be considered.

Knowledge of a university research environment, policies, and procedures related to purchasing, accounts payable, travel, financial reporting, and personnel is strongly preferred.

Salary Range: Up to $55,000
