The Opportunity:

Embry-Riddle is now hiring a Student Union Event Coordinator at the Daytona Beach campus. This is a 10-month full-time position, working August through May.

The Student Union Event Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Student Union events system, which supports all events in and around the Student Union facility. The system averages 70+ events per month for Student Union managed spaces, and clients include student organizations, academic and administrative departments, and non-ERAU groups. The Events Coordinator manages all aspects of event services, including meeting with clients; organizing the event setup process and related logistics; and communicating with campus service providers. This position also manages the Event Center facility and associated event inventory. The position supervises a team of student events staff and reports to the Director of Student Union Operations & Events.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in event management, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas of event planning, logistics management and student development.
  • Ability to interface with a diverse clientele in an extremely busy work atmosphere in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
