Job Description

The primary function of this position is to provide project management support for design and construction projects.

Duties include:
  • Support Project Manager in developing project scope, schedule and budget, for projects that are designed by contracted and/or internal consultants (architects, engineers and interior designers).
  • Manage the implementation of design and construction process and deliverables.
    • Manage and direct departmental staff time and forecast related costs including monthly invoicing procedures.
    • Plan, assign, and manage workload and activities of professional staff, provide assistance and instruction, assure accuracy and completeness; monitor design staff progress with respect to adherence to schedules, expended time on projects, and quality of over-all product.
  • Coordinate and contract with consultants to support the project scope of work.
  • Coordinate with campus stakeholders.
  • Maintain project cost and schedule information and continually monitor progress and status as the project design develops. Provide active direction to consultants and stakeholders to align deviations.
    • Provide information to departmental representatives concerning needed changes in cost, schedule, and project requirements.
    • Exhibit understanding and ability to recommend construction/project costs and durations.
  • Initiate and facilitate bidding processes.
Salary

Salary Range: $47,476 - $84,505

GGS Grade: 10

7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday with flexibility

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

The successful candidate shall have experience in the design and construction field.
