Position Function

Grow student participation in mentor programs and increase student engagement with Cardinals Connect platform, provide generalist career and mentor coaching, develop and provide presentations and training programs supporting mentorship, and liaise between the Career Center and the Office of Alumni Engagement.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Minimum Experience

Two years experience working with individuals one on one, engaging with groups and monitoring program results

Minimum Other

Demonstrated skill in public speaking, relationship building, use of Microsoft Office products, ability to present to various on-campus groups when those groups meet.

Authorization to work in the US

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Education

Master’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Preferred Experience

Two years of experience in higher education setting such as career services, alumni, academic advising, or admissions. Experience collaborating with faculty or across multiple functions of an organization

Preferred Other

Knowledge related to engaging students and alumni in mentor programs

Pre-Employment Screening

Requires successful completion of a background check and education verification.

Serve as liaison to certain student populations, and/or academic areas, and the Director of Alumni Engagement, Mentor Programs in the Ball State University Foundation

Collaborate with the Director of Alumni Engagement, Mentoring Programs to develop and deliver training programs targeted towards students, great mentor/mentee engagements, and use of Cardinals Connect online platform.
