Position Summary
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor/manager, the Program Director will guide the planning, development and implementation of policies and services necessary to advance pre-college programming at the college and serve as the primary conduit between high school partners, campus team members and ARC faculty. In this role, the incumbent will provide oversight and direction to multiple classified team members.

The Director will assist with the establishment and implementation of local policy and procedures to scaling pre-college programming in adherence to relevant LRCCD policies and procedures and with input from the District Director of Dual Enrollment. The successful candidate will assist with leading and supporting college-wide efforts to establish MOU’s as well as course and articulation agreements with high school partners, align career and general education pathways between high schools and Los Rios colleges, and deliver consistent messaging for marketing dual enrollment courses to parents and students. The incumbent will advance shared college and district interests including, but not limited to: developing processes and protocols, seeking grant funding; guiding the development of applicable policies and regulations; tracking and implementing legislative mandates, and dual enrollment outcomes, advocating for needed resources; coordinating professional development; ensuring People Soft integration as it relates to application, enrollment and data tracking.

Assignment Responsibilities
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Directing college advancement activities to scale with consideration to instruction, instructional supports, and strategic enrollment management.
  • Establishing a process for enrollment that adheres to the California Code of Regulations, Title 5, Section 55005, while maximizing productivity.
  • Synchronizing GE and CE Dual Enrollment efforts at the college.
  • Assisting with development, updates, and submission of MOU’s, Course Agreements, and High School Articulations.
  • Coordinating development and updates to outreach and inreach communications and resource content.
  • Assisting with identifying fall/spring courses and enrollment projections to ascertain course level demand for dual enrollment.
  • Providing orientation and support to instructors, facilitators, partners and team members as needed to facilitate the delivery model.
  • Ensuring appropriate services are provided to students in compliance with district and state regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Conveying just-in-time reminders and deadlines to high school partners and internal team members.
  • Providing oversight and coordination of finalized course enrollments, textbook orders, and NEA’s.
  • Identifying, producing, and updating needed documents, resources, and reports.
  • Coordinating bi-annual planning retreats and reciprocal professional development opportunities.
  • Providing leadership to facilitate the creation of additional high school partnerships, pathways, programs and articulation agreements with local feeder high schools.
  • Coordinating and consulting with district resources initiatives and grants as appropriate.
  • Providing oversight and direction to Dual Enrollment classified support staff.
  • Serving as the key point of contract for high school partners to address and resolve issues impacting pre-college programming and students.
  • Researching and assessing the feasibility of other pre-college advancement models for purposes of programmatic innovation and future replication.
  • Holding weekly meetings with college staff and attend monthly meeting with local and/or district leadership.
  • Working independently under limited supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Year 12 month Work Schedule
The assignment may include day, evening, weekend, and/or off-campus hours.

Alternate work schedules and remote/hybrid assignments may be available depending upon the operational needs of the department and employee performance. Total Hrs per Week/Day Special Requirements Minimum Qualifications
1. Have a master’s degree* from an accredited institution completed by December 1, 2022.

2. Have one year of formal training, internship, or leadership experience reasonably related to the administrator’s administrative assignment

3. Have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, including those with physical or learning disabilities as it relates to differences in learning styles; and successfully foster and support an inclusive educational and employment environment.
