Gannon University, a Catholic university, invites applications for
a full-time, 12-month Head Coach for the Men's & Women's Cross
Country Program. Gannon's athletic program includes 21 varsity
sports, in which 18 sports compete at the NCAA Division II level.
The men's and women's cross-country programs compete in the
Pennsylvania State Athletic Association (PSAC). Responsibilities
include oversight of coaching, managing, and directing all aspects
of the University's competitive, NCAA Division II, intercollegiate
cross-country program during both the fall and spring seasons.
Supervises assistant coach(es). Candidates must be able to support
and promote the University's Mission.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree (master's preferred) and a valid driver's license. Successful candidates must have at least three years of cross-country coaching experience at the collegiate level and/or comparable competitive coaching experience combined with competing at the collegiate level as a student-athlete; knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations; demonstrated ability to effectively recruit prospective national and international student-athletes, to a highly selective university; excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and flexibility.
