The Accounting Manager reports to the Assistant Controller and has supervisory responsibility over senior accountants. Reviews and analyzes quarterly and annual external financial statements. Reviews and files Federal and State tax returns for the University and related entities. Maintains general ledger and chart of accounts. Supervises capital project, grant, gift and scholarship reporting. Prepares or reviews various cash and balance sheet reconciliations as required on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Assists in the preparation of various external reports as required by external reporting agencies. The Accounting Manager must embrace technology, be an outstanding communicator and be flexible and adept at managing multiple projects at once.
