ITM - IT Infrastructure Servers Manager

  • Effective Date: Jun 24, 2022
  • Responsibilities:
    • Management of Server Support Staff
    • Advanced server/VMware administration and support - configuration management, software development, enterprise level support of VMware, installation and maintenance of servers (Windows, Solaris, Linux)
    • EMail support - maintenance to support the email and calendaring platform for faculty, staff, and students
    • Cloud services and server support - maintenance to support public cloud based services and servers (e.g. Google Apps for Educations, Desire to Learn, etc.)
    • Datacenter support - installation and maintenance of datacenter hardware to support systems (servers, storage, network, remote management, etc.)
    • Identity Management and Active Directory - Support campus identity management processes including integration with Active Directory.
    • Web support - Assist faculty and staff with specialized and custom developed software hosted on the web servers (cgi, php, mysql, perl, etc).
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree
    • Two (2) years of work experience in a related field in the last five (5) years.
    • One (1) year of work experience in a supervisory or lead worker capacity.
    • Five (5) years or more of technical experience with versions of Microsoft Windows Server which Microsoft currently officially supports and/or currently supported versions of Linux/UNIX Servers in the last ten (10) years.
    • Proficient in the area for which the employee has oversight (i.e. Microsoft Windows Server, Linux/UNIX Servers, etc.)
    • Progressively more responsibility in work experience in an IT-related profession.
    • Demonstrated understanding of best practice methodologies for IT process, including project
    • Management, change management, incident management and problem management.
  • Starting Salary: $5,942/month
