Pay Range: $25.60 per hour or more depending on experience

Position Summary:
The Guest Services Manager works to ensure a great guest experience for all events held on campus and supported by Administrative Operations by developing a robust team of staff capable of providing logistics, operations and production support. This includes but is not limited to athletic events, cultural events, and other special events held on campus. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Cultural Events.



Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
2 years’ experience that shows:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization, and ability to provide positive/consistent leadership that will motivate staff.
  • Ability to meet definitive timeline goals on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective team player mentality; must be able to adapt to changes and work in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Use of common office computer applications including word-processing, spreadsheet, email, and browser applications.
  • Excellent customer service skills.





Preferred Qualifications:
Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Business Administration or Hospitality Management or 4 years’ experience in guest services.
  • Understanding of event production.
  • Working knowledge and good understanding of ADA public access policies and procedures



Experience in:
  • Working in a university setting hiring, scheduling, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating staff.
  • Identifying areas in need of change or improvement to better the guest experience.
  • Working with minimum supervision.


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:



Required Licensures, Certifications or other
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet production needs.
  • Must have valid drivers license and ability to meet UI driving requirements.
