Job Summary

The Associate Director of BRIDGE will assist in fostering the empowerment of LeBow undergraduate students to become skillful problem-solvers and experienced decision-makers, well positioned to emerge as business leaders of tomorrow. The Assoc. Director will be responsible for understanding, interpreting, and enforcing LeBow College of Business and Drexel University policy, while exploring academic and professional options for select student cohorts (BRIDGE). Furthermore, the Associate Director position will help develop strategic and fundraising efforts for the academic enrichment program while working closely with program coordinator/academic advisor, all areas of technology, systems, mass communications and reporting functions associated with the BRIDGE program.

The Assoc. Director of BRIDGE will serve as the primary contact for LeBow BRIDGE. This individual will continue to grow, develop, manage and support LeBow BRIDGE initiatives. In addition to developing strategic priorities for BRIDGE, the Assoc. Director will be required to oversee the development of programming including, but not limited to: Welcome Event, Leadership Retreat, Alumni Mixer, Cultural Immersion Spring Break, and the Success in Academic Achievement Awards Program and Reception for all BRIDGE stakeholders including students, parents, alumni and corporate partners. This position will assume external stakeholder development responsibilities for BRIDGE Advisory Board(s) and industry partners. Additionally, the Assoc. Director will oversee student recruitment/selection processes and retention initiatives. The Assoc. Director will be responsible for developing yearly impact reports and monthly updates with Institutional Advancement to execute annual fundraising plans, seek grant opportunities, and procure financial support from individuals, alumni, foundations, and corporations. Finally, the Associate Director will work in collaboration with other institutional stakeholders including the Office of the Provost, Student Life, Colleges & Schools, etc. in the development of a scaled iteration of BRIDGE for Drexel University.

The Assoc. Director will be a member of the Dean’s Office external relations committee. The Assoc. Director will continue to work with UG Programming colleagues, LeBow College’s departmental scheduler, academic advisors and Office of the University Registrar. Must be extremely customer service and team oriented

Essential Functions

  • Identifying and establishment of KPI’s
  • Development of University scale plan
  • Strategic Plan development
  • Act as liaison for administrative and faculty offices
  • Participation in LeBow’s external relations committee
  • Assist with special projects as needed, including creation and development of NACADA, group advising and orientation presentations
  • Serve as liaison to Dean’s office for the allocation of funds from The LeBow Diversity & Inclusion Fund
  • Creation of Impact Report
  • Standing meetings with institutional advancement
  • Identifying grants and other funding opportunities
  • Relationship development with alumni, individual stakeholders, and corporate partners
  • Manage LeBow BRIDGE Advisory Council
  • Establishment of retention and graduation metrics
  • Development of alumni ecosystem
  • Participation in Commencement activities
  • Community investment i.e., camps, local high schools
  • Ensure University and accreditation standards by enforcing appropriate LeBow and Drexel University policy
  • Organize and manage programming for URM student campus visits and camps (UG Recruitment Focus)
  • Development of student relationships
  • Oversee website and other MarCom collateral
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Education or Counseling
  • 5-7 years of related job experience in advising, supporting undergraduate programs, admissions recruiting, and/or social work
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to outstanding concern and service to customers (students, faculty and staff)
  • Able to work independently and take initiative in directing own work, as well as working efficiently and effectively with others
  • Demonstrated excellence at planning and organizing own work and records as well as coordinating with related parties and seeking task through to a timely and successful conclusion
  • Ability to handle exceptions to processes and work assignments with professionalism, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Professional work appearance and interactions with others
  • Fundraising and relationship building skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Grant writing experience preferred
  • Demonstrable proficiency with PC’s and related software, experience with Banner, Hyperion, AVT, Blackboard and Bb Vista preferred
  • Familiarity with Drexel LeBow’s undergraduate business programs (traditional/online) and options including links with graduate programs
  • Master’s degree preferred Higher Education or Counseling
