Position Purpose
To plan, manage, and execute one or more complex multiple-component research projects studying implementation science, chronic disease epidemiology, healthcare delivery, and biomedical informatics research. One of the primary responsibilities will be to assist in an implementation randomized control trial. This position will serve as an integral member of the research team to develop and achieve project(s) objectives, facilitate the execution of project plans, communicate project status to leadership, and work effectively toward problem resolution.

Bachelors plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Experience:
• 3 years of experience in research project coordination
• Prior experience with health research and/or management
• Prior experience managing pre and post research grant awards
Skills & Knowledge:
• Experience in and/or willingness to be trained in dissemination and implementation science.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively as a team member with appropriate attention to detail.
• Project management skills and ability to work independently, taking initiative to advance projects. • Ability to use sound judgment when interacting with outside parties.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to effectively collaborate and interact with all levels of staff, management, and executive leadership.
• Ability to contribute to report, presentations, and technical paper writing.
• Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population.
Preferred Qualifications
• With project leadership, the employee can facilitate and conduct quantitative and qualitative data analyses to complete research deliverables, using SAS, R, Stata, or other statistical software.
• Comprehensive understanding of rigorous research design, implementation, and analysis.
• Training, experience, and interest in implementation science.
Master’s degree preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Description
Project Planning and Management
•Organizes, reviews, facilitates, and tracks project tasks, project reporting and any relevant fiscal reporting by project; develops and stewards all assigned project activities; and maintains quality of work products across internal and external efforts in accordance with research goals and aims.
•Develops project management plans, to include definition of project objectives, timelines, resource allocations, identification of key stakeholders, and risk mitigation plans.
•Problem-solves with partners to ensure integrity of program design, and achievement of deadlines and benchmarks (e.g., study participant tracking). Resolves issues using own judgment.
•Leads development of reports for sponsors (e.g., NIH RPPR and FRPPR ) and contributes to the development of grant proposals.
•Supervises activities of project assistants, fellows, student interns, administrative assistants, and other partners, develops training and necessary instructional materials, manuals, and toolkits.
•Assists with team scheduling and documenting meeting minutes.

Research Implementation
•Supports development of study protocols, data collection tools (e.g., surveys and interview guides), PowerPoint presentations, and manuscript development & submission assistance.
•Conducts necessary literature searches and reviews and develops subject matter expertise as-needed to advances completion of project deliverables.
•Oversees data management activities including data definitions, documentation, data management, and reporting.
•Monitors data output and collaborates with statistical analysts or statisticians.
•Manages submission of Institutional Review Board ( IRB ), Continuing Reviews, Data Use Agreements, Research Agreements and other contracts with external partners. Assures that subject data confidentiality and data integrity is maintained.

•Establishes and maintains collaborative interactions with internal and external stakeholders necessary to achieve shared goals, advance the research, and disseminate findings internally and externally.
•Works cooperatively with internal staff and multiple internal and external research partners.
•Prepares communications about project findings tailoring the message for target audiences.
•Organizes meetings (i.e., internal research meetings and meetings with study participants) and conducts follow-up communications to advance the work and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
