Summary:

The Media Specialist will work on post-production of course content videos for online courses. The successful candidate will be able to work with green screen video footage and create motion graphics and animations to convey a wide range of concepts and topics. Specific duties will include: Successfully utilize Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Audition software for a variety of different types of media projects; Work on educational content; Other relevant duties as assigned.

Minimum Hiring Standards:

Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills.
Notable experience working on a project using Adobe Premiere, or an equivalent software.
Notable experience working on a project using Adobe After Effects, or an equivalent software
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
Proven ability to work as a team member on collaborative projects.
Demonstrated commitment to representations of equality as part of a creative service for VCU’s diverse population.
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a member of the VCU community.

Preferred Hiring Standards:

An educational background in Mass Communications, Film, Electronic Communication Arts, Kinetic Imaging, or a related field.

Schedule:

The position is remote 15-30 hours per week through the end of August with the possibility to remain on staff based on business need.

Salary Range: $17.00/Hour
