Job Description:

The Department of Psychology is seeking a Human Resources Assistant. This position will assist with the management and processing of Human Resources and Payroll and assisting callers and visitors to the Department. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assist with HR functions (e.g., hiring OPS employees on grants), monitors payroll, act as backup time approver, assist with DS-2019 requests and provide support for international student visa extension requests. Process payroll distributions for grant-supported appointments.

Assist Department Chair, Administrative Specialist III and Department faculty with Faculty Assignment Reports and effort reporting.

Assist with reconciliations each week by working with the Fiscal Asst III.

Research participant and visitor parking pass manager, receptionist for incoming phone calls and walk-in visitors, and manage Gator1 ID card authorizations and purchases.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Expected Salary:

$18.00 - $19.75 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office and ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
