This full time, 10-month ranked faculty position with
administrative responsibilities is a direct report to the Dean of
the College of Health and Pharmacy (COHP) with accreditation
oversight from the Chief Nursing Administrator (CNA). The director
of simulation (DSIM) is responsible for ensuring the use of best
practices with regard to the design, implementation, growth,
support, and evaluation of simulation education curricula across
the College. In addition, the director will be a catalyst for
faculty development, research, and scholarship related to
simulation and will work collaboratively with the COHP Director of
Interprofessional Education (IPE) to advance IPE and the use of
simulation throughout the College. The DSIM will supervise the
simulation staff, and an annual Individual Program for Professional
Development and Scholarship Plan will be reviewed with the Dean as
part of the annual performance review. Faculty members are expected
to fulfill responsibilities in teaching, advising, scholarship, and
service as delineated in the Husson University Faculty
Handbook. The faculty member is expected to adhere to the
Husson University Faculty Handbook policies for promotion
and multiple-year contract review.
