Rhode Island College invites applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Alumni Relations. This is a full-time, calendar year, continuing position.
Under the direction of the Director, Alumni Relations, the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations will be responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, marketing, coordination, and evaluation of engagement strategies and events, particularly those related to reunion, young alumni, students and parent programs. This position oversees digital communications, including Alumni Relations web page, email communications and social media platforms.
Rhode Island College is a regional comprehensive public college that serves approximately 6,400 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students through its five schools: the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development, the School of Business, the School of Nursing and the School of Social Work. Established in 1854, we are Rhode Island’s first public institution of higher education.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of three years of event planning and volunteer management/coordination in non-profit, academic, or related environment handling major special events.
- Social media content development.
- Administrative/development experience.
- Managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Experience managing student, alumni and donor database system.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience managing special events.
- Bilingual
