Position Summary

Accessibility Resources invites applications for the Auxiliary Aides and Services Coordinator position In this role, you ensure all students have equitable access to all programs, services, and benefits the University at Buffalo has to offer.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Provide a safe, welcoming, and comfortable approach to inquiries that values disability as a vital contribution to diversity
  • Coordinate accessibility services based on the understanding of a complex set of service components and procedures through multiple individual service contacts
  • Support aspects of lecture note taking services including recruiting, training, service evaluation, and payment processing
  • Provide support for Auxiliary Aids and Services; convert print to e-text, sign language, real-time captioning services and/or video captioning
  • Screen, review and approve reasonable accommodation requests that are consistent with documented service and history

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree with 2 or more years of experience or Bachelor’s degree
  • The ability to handle complex and highly detailed duties in a rapid environment
  • Strong administrative, organizational, written and oral communications skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Zoom

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with students with disabilities.
  • Computer proficiency using database records management
  • Working knowledge of assistive technology for personal and classroom usage
