Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary: $40,000 per year

• This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), non-exempt position.

The Fresno State Athletic Corporation provides a benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, participation in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), and sick and vacation time. Job Summary

Reporting to the ­­­­Director of Sports Nutrition or as assigned, the Assistant Director of Sports Nutrition will work closely with the Sports Medicine Staff and Strength and Conditioning Staff in supporting the athletic and nutritional goals of coaches and student-athletes. Within this collaborative sports performance group, they will work to advance the overall objective of meeting the sports performance goals of all of the departments’ intercollegiate athletic teams.

Key Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration) required
• Prior experience with Social Media - Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of intercollegiate sports
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability and willingness to support the diversity and equity commitments of the department

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field
• One year of experience providing nutritional guidance to an athletic program

Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with California State University, Fresno. This position may be a "designated position" under the California State University's Conflict of Interest Code. This will require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within six (6) months of assuming office and every two (2) years thereafter.
