Visiting Full-Time Faculty Position in Musicology

The Department of Music at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a visiting full-time faculty position for the 2022-2023 academic year to begin in August 2022. We are seeking a musicologist with a specialization in European, American, and/or Popular Music able to teach one section of Introduction of Music (MUSC 101), one section of American Music (MUSC 150), and one section of History of Rock (MUSC 143) in the Fall Semester. Spring 2023 teaching (3 courses) to be determined in consultation with the Department depending on the Department's needs and the successful candidate's expertise. Course descriptions for these courses can be found on the Department Website: Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching non-majors in a liberal arts context.

Visiting full-time faculty teach 3 courses each semester and are eligible for travel support and reimbursement of relocation costs within the College's published policies. All full-time appointments offer competitive salaries and include full benefits.

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field.
