Responsibilities:
The School of Health, Exercise Science an Athletics is seeking an adjunct professor to instruct aquatic classes.

The classes will be composed of both swimming and aquatic exercise classes.

This position requires availability for day and evening class assignments.

Other Duties: Responsibilities may include, but not limited to, the following: attending faculty meetings, teaching all scheduled classes and maintaining office hours, class preparation, participation in curriculum and SLO development and promotion of the aquatic courses at Southwestern College throughout the community.


Knowledge and Abilities:


Education and Experience:


Minimum Qualifications: (Faculty and Academic Administrator Positions Only)
Master’s in physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise or adaptive physical education
OR
Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration or physical therapy
OR
the equivalent


Desirable Qualifications:


Salary
Teaching Positions (PT Instructor) = $66.77 to $73.23 per lecture hour AND $53.43 to $58.60 per lab hour. Finalized Salary Placement is based on units beyond a bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree conferred.

Start Date

As soon as the successful candidate is identified and following the subsequent governing board approval.
