Job Description Summary
The Assistant Athletic Director will oversee and coordinate the schedule for the Anderson Athletics Complex and Wilson Field. The Assistant Director will assist with student work-study assignments for intercollegiate sports, club sports, and intramural and physical education supervision and will work with the Director on student employee issues.
Also, the Assistant Director will oversee all game management assignments and oversight of facilities and workers for SCIAC and NCAA playoffs. In addition, the assistant director will perform other duties as assigned including teaching classes and providing First Aid/ CPR and emergency response. Assistant Athletic Director will have additional duties day-to-day coaching football.

Responsibilities
Student Employment Program Oversight
- Work with Human Resources as it pertains to student employment. Establish an efficient method to hire and track work/study students working in the Athletics Department. Assist coaches with student work-study assignments for intercollegiate sports club sports, and intramural and physical education classes. Work with the Director to resolve student employee issues.
- Assist with day-to-day operational needs of the Football program.
- Oversee all aspects of scheduling and maintenance of the Anderson Athletics Complex and Wilson Field. Work with the head coaches and institutional events management to schedule and coordinate the use of Wilson Field and the Anderson Athletics Complex. Work with Musco Lighting with regards to the lights schedule on Wilson Field.
- Coordinate sport and game management for Soccer, Basketball, Lacrosse, Baseball, Softball, and Water Polo. Assist with securing work-study students for said events.
- Serve as event facilities coordinator and manager at all SCIAC and NCAA Championship playoff rounds including but not limited to scheduling and coordinating student workers and facility set up and take down.
- Perform other duties including but not limited to, teaching classes, and providing CPR /First Aid and emergency response.
- Working knowledge of NCAA Division III and SCIAC rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of University club sports rules and department policies.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply all relevant rules and regulations.
- Technical expertise in sports and game management.
- Commitment to the academic success of student-athletes and the ability to persuasively articulate the role of athletics in education.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact and work with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels both inside and outside the University.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects and shifting demands and meet critical deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and exercise discretion and judgment on matters of significance.
- Demonstrated commitment to gender equity and equal opportunity in the athletic program and an understanding of the profile of the University.
- Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy and to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Mathematical and bookkeeping skills to develop and maintain budgets.
- Analytical skills to collect, analyze, and summarize data for reporting.
- Knowledge and ability to coach football.
- Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of University work-study rules and regulations for students
- Experience in teaching physical education classes.
