Position: Mid-Plains Community College is now accepting applications for the position of Director of Safety and Security. Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing and coordinating a college-wide risk and safety program, a college-wide security program, creating awareness and provide training for safety and security programs, leading the campus safety teams, and being a liaison between MPCC and local law enforcement, emergency management, and other entities. Position may be based in either McCook or North Platte as time will be split between campuses.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree required, Bachelors Degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in law enforcement or safety management required. Excellent computer and communication skills. The ability to work with minimal supervision is important. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing procedures, a demonstrated success in delivering training, excellent customer service skills, a willingness to learn, an ability to supervise a small group of part-time security staff.
