The Content Marketing Specialist plays an important role in helping create compelling content for the four MBA programs (Full-Time, Professional, Executive, and Online) and Executive Education programs (non-degreed open enrollment, certificate, online, and custom) and positioning Executive Education as a premier business education solution-provider.
In this position, you’ll work within the marketing team to plan, research, write, produce, and edit multiple forms of content – everything from emails to in-depth guides. While your primary focus will be marketing content creation, you’ll support additional communications functions, including website SEO and keyword research, department-wide content requests, and social media.
The ideal candidate is a positive advocate for our mission and is just as passionate about counseling prospective students on which program might be the right fit for them as they are about crafting smart campaigns to excite prospective students.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

What you’ll do:

 

  • Content planning: In collaboration with the Sr. Manager, Marketing, you’ll help define content goals, create and maintain a content calendar, keep existing content assets up to date, and support an overall content strategy and process. Content research: You’ll track industry trends to ensure that content is relevant and targets audiences at all stages of the journey. Content creation: You’ll write content yourself and collaborate with the programs to ideate, develop, and edit the content they write. You’ll work with creatives to bring multiple forms of content to life, from digital campaigns and presentations to guides, emails, infographics, testimonials, and more. Campaign support: You’ll help brainstorm innovative content ideas and develop strong calls to action to support demand generation campaigns. You’ll also proofread and edit campaign copy and ensure the writing is clear, compelling, and on-brand. Website content: You’ll help make content updates to the website and support SEO efforts. PR support: You’ll research and recommend hot topics for media outreach and help develop press releases and other earned media content.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, English or related field, plus three years professional experience in marketing, advertising, copywriting, directing publication projects or equivalency. Demonstrated ability to develop effective print and broadcast media campaigns. Must possess excellent grammar, proofreading, human relation and effective communication skills. 
Familiarity with broadcast production, studio photography direction, postal regulations and costing-out jobs is preferred.

• You are dependable, with outstanding multitasking abilities and an eagerness to understand and support the needs of a busy and fast-paced marketing team.
• You will be comfortable working with remote team members and participating in virtual meetings for training and direction.
