Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder Women's Lacrosse team encourages applications for a Director of Operations! As our Director of Operations, you will report to the head coach and provide administrative support for all Colorado lacrosse program activities, while assisting the coaching staff with day to day office operations. Every day you will coordinate team travel, assist with logistics of on and off campus recruiting, support with some budgetary oversight, camp organization, and act as a liaison to multiple other departments within athletics. The position requires strong communication, prioritization and problem solving, along with the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. This shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletic Department's Mission Statement, Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement, Core Values, Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Pac 12 Conference and the NCAA.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Team Travel and Game Day Operations:
  • Oversee team itineraries, transportation, lodging, meals, practice schedules, player pass list, contracts, and related requirements for departmental travel. Have knowledge of travel budget and ability to work within it. For home games, be main point of contact for facilities, visiting team and pregame meals.
Department Liaison:
  • Direct contact for Athletic Administration, Academic Services, Training Table, Equipment Staff, Training Room, Strength and Conditioning, Team Compliance, Ticket Office, Business Office, Housing, Conferences and Events, and all issues related to the Women’s Lacrosse program (e.g. ordering equipment, scheduling facilities, etc.).
Recruiting Program Support:
  • Assist with recruiting travel when needed and processing of recruiting data in compliance/recruiting database. Plan, arrange, and assist in carrying out recruiting visits on campus. Create recruiting and program materials and arrange distribution to recruits, alumni, and other support groups.
Student Athlete Development:
  • Develop, plan, and coordinate programs for student athlete development and service activities. This will include various team functions, team-building programs, campus events and community outreach.
NCAA Compliance:
  • Responsible for securing, reviewing, and submitting the appropriate and required compliance documentation as it relates to countable athletically related activities (CARA), official and unofficial campus visits in addition to occasional meal, pre-post camp documentation and the like. It is imperative that the documentation be accurate and timely for each program.
Summer Camp Director:
  • This position will be responsible for organizing summer camps and ensuring they run smoothly. Duties include coordinating housing, meals, facilities, managing participant registrations, managing hiring and payment of staff, and working with CU’s camp coordinator in business office to handle all other needs.

What We Can Offer
  • The salary range is $49,000 - $52,000 annually.
  • Additional Compensation Details:
  • Relocation is available within department guidelines. Additional Athletics benefits include: Athletic Event Tickets: Per Athletic Department Policy and NCAA regulations, Nike Elite Employee Benefit: Per Nike Elite Policy. Supplemental camp pay: per Athletic Department Summer Camp Policy.

  • One year coaching, recruiting, operations or playing experience at collegiate level. Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
