Summary/Objective
  • Provide general support for office management, facilities, events, HR processing, and compliance.
Essential Functions
  1. Personnel Support:Coordinate the flow of candidates through the recruitment process, from submitting posting requests and scheduling interviews to candidate assessments, background checks and onboarding. Attend job fairs on behalf of the unit, and work with HR to support the department’s hiring needs. Serve as the first unit point of contact for candidates and new hires. Submit hiring actions, and. maintain employee filing system.Provide general HR information to unit staff, and work with HR to facilitate unit HR processes, including offboarding and compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations and University policies and procedures.
  2. Administrative Support:This includes scheduling and maintaining calendars, researching and coordinating logistics for unit events. Respond to customer requests and provides appropriate resources and response; refers customers to other staff as needed. Maintain office supplies and equipment inventory.
  3. Facilities Support:Serve as point for contact for unit’s facilities-related issues. Monitor unit facilities’ needs and report deficiencies as appropriate. Initiate work requests, and monitor completion.
  4. Compliance Support:Serve as the unit’s Power Document Management System (PowerDMS) Administrator. Maintain the unit’s established written directives (policies and procedures), training documents, and certifications, and post to PowerDMS. Review compliance documentation and related records to ensure complete documentation has been collected.
  5. Other Duties:Projects as assigned.

  • The incumbent is an individual contributor.
Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education, training and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience.
  • At least 1 year of relevant full-time or part-time work experience in an administrative or customer service position.
  • Knowledge of general administrative procedures and systems.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Experience working in a law enforcement agency or legal setting preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • Ability to interact with others in a consistently courteous and respectful manner, with an awareness of diverse perspectives and a commitment to inclusivity.
  • Excellent orgazational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Ability to type 35-45 wpm.
