Position Overview
Serve as budget director for the School of Music. Make purchases and rent music for ensemble performances, hire students and others, and manage financial paperwork. Provide information to the Director and others to help them manage budgets. Support the College by coordinating 'grass roots' marketing.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the School of Music Budget
- Manage budget processes
- Prepare and submit monthly adjunct payroll
- Serve as the SOM Purchasing Card manager, including working with Chrome River
- Hire graduate assistants, other students, and part time staff accompanists, and terminate them at the end of their work
- With the SOM director, prepare paperwork to hire adjunct faculty, in coordination with the Dean's office
- Prepare letters of agreement for contracted providers as required
- Process payment for guests, extra musicians, students, reimbursements, etc
- Order music for ensembles, and coordinate printing and cataloguing. Work with University counsel to review of all contracts and agreements.
- Serve as 'grassroots' marketing coordinator for the College, in collaboration with the Butler Arts and Event Center marketing team
- Provide data to the Director for annual accreditation reports
- Assist ensemble directors with concert tour logistics
- Serve as back-up for the Dean's administrative assistant for invoice payment, requisitions and payroll
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
