The West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics, is seeking a clinic-based podiatrist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will practice primarily at the WVU Medicine Waynesburg clinic, Waynesburg, PA, and will also have inpatient and operating room opportunities at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

WVU Medicine Waynesburg is 25 miles from the main academic center in Morgantown, WV. The 15,000 square foot facility houses 30 patient rooms and five procedure rooms. Besides orthopaedics, services include wound care, pain management, adult and pediatric primary care, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, urology, dermatology, optometry, radiology, and lab. Podiatry will anchor the WVU Department of Orthopaedics’ services at this clinic.

The available position will have a heavy emphasis on general podiatry, wound care, and forefoot surgery. Outpatient care will likely be four days per week. Elective reconstructive surgery is not a focus of this position. This podiatrist will join the foot and ankle service line which currently is comprised of three podiatrists and one foot and ankle orthopaedic surgeon.

Applicants must have a DPM degree and be eligible to obtain West Virginia and Pennsylvania medical licenses. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in podiatry, having completed an accredited podiatric residency program. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
