Summary

The Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) at the ODU Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (IIE) is hiring a Full-time Program and Client Services Coordinator.  This is not a university funded position.  This is an ODU Research Foundation position with the Veterans Business Outreach Center, a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) grant funded position. The person hired, will provide comprehensive support to the Veterans Business Outreach Center for client relations management, program outreach, and scheduling and logistics for trainings, special events, subject matter expert relations, and business counseling.  Manages systems to produce performance metric data on quarterly and annual bases for grants and contracts.  Collaborates with other IIE core and center staff to implement joint initiatives among centers and for the institute as a whole in providing client services, producing performance reports, and creating and disseminating marketing materials.

Required minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, education, or related field OR equivalent experience. Two years experience as a program specialist, program coordinator, outreach coordinator, or similar position. Strong organizational and time management skills, knowledge of CRM databases and proficiency with MS Office Suite to include MS Word, Powerpoint, and Excel and excellent oral and written communication skills are required for the successful applicant.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Client relations management.  Includes maintaining and managing Neossera, Salesforce, and LivePlan databases, periodic implementation of new CRM technology tools, coordinating business counseling scheduling.

2. Program outreach.  Collaborates with Director and Deputy Director to design, plan, and conduct special events.  Develops and coordinates Subject Matter Expert training schedules.  Creates and tracks training and outreach events on EventBrite.  Co-develops and disseminates marketing materials with VBOC and IIE staff.

3. Scheduling and logistics.  Serves as scheduling and logistics coordinator for Boots to Business, Business plan Reboot, individualized Business Counseling sessions, and special events. Collaborates with IIE leadership and staff from other IIE centers to design and conduct special initiatives and events.

4. Collecting and reporting performance metrics.  Maintains and reports data on participant/client characteristics, services provided, and outcomes for multiple purposes, including required quarterly and annual SBA reports, other grants and contracts, IIE reporting, and marketing.

5. Collaborates with IIE leadership and staff from other IIE centers to design and conduct special initiatives and events.

6. Other duties as assigned.
