Position Function
The Student Systems and Reporting Analyst will provide comprehensive technical leadership, management and support for the enhancement, development, and implementation of technology solutions critical to the University’s mission. This includes the provision of exceptional support for all Registrar functions, including maintenance and enhancement of the student information system and related interfaces and auxiliary systems. The successful incumbent must exhibit a high level of creative problem-solving ability and resourcefulness as well as the competence needed to conduct business processes evaluation, develop short- and long-term goals, make recommendations, and execute projects to improve processes and technologies. The incumbent will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders including Office of the Registrar, Information Technology Services, administrative staff, faculty, and third-party vendors. The Student Systems and Reporting Analyst will oversee one or more Systems support staff. The incumbent will be critical in developing a comprehensive Registrar’s Office that can support the University.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or in lieu of Bachelor’s degree an Associate’s degree plus an additional two years of IT/technical experience.
Minimum Experience
At least four years of experience in business operations with a track record of increasing experience and responsibilities.
Minimum Other
Strong problem solving skills; ability to develop and maintain complex SQL queries; proven management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate project status and provide leadership/direction for an implementation process; programming skills with Banner-related products.
Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Experience
Strong knowledge of enterprise reporting tools; experience in troubleshooting applications and processes; supervisory experience.

Job Duty
Serve as the technical expert for core student information system applications and related technologies, including, but not limited to, Ellucian Banner, Degree Works and other products related to registrar responsibilities that interface with the student module.

Serve as technology project manager for all initiatives requiring coordination with the Office. Provide functional and technical expertise during the planning and implementation of new systems. In addition to technical execution of initiatives, ensures community preparedness via the development and delivery of documentation, training, presentations, communications, etc.

Participate in the planning, designing, and implementation of innovative technical solutions to further the service mission of the Office of the Registrar; coordinate and perform enhancements and upgrades of critical systems as needed.

Continually assess the unit’s business practices; streamline processes and improve the delivery of services by providing a cooperative, service-supported approach to the University community. This includes, but is not limited to, business process review, documentation and training, communications and presentations, etc.

Develop processes to ensure: the security and accuracy of the student database, fullest functionality of the Banner Student System is being utilized, and options are investigated for new technology to be purchased and implemented that will improve services to the University community.

Work directly with IT staff on automation, process improvement, data integrity, and data integration projects as needed. Troubleshoot batch processes, data integrations, and related issues as needed. Perform after-hours updates, upgrades, and system configuration changes to minimize downtime.

Train Office of the Registrar support staff to improve effectiveness in daily tasks and processes associated with core registrar functions.
