Job Summary/Basic Function

Aurora University seeks talented adjunct faculty who are passionate about teaching and learning. Adjunct faculty are qualified part-time instructors offered teaching opportunities based on course demand and staffing.

Teaching Responsibilities

We are seeking adjunct faculty to teach the following course:
  • BIO3250 Vertebrate Zoology (4 semester hours), 4 credits

    This course provides an in-depth survey of vertebrate animals beginning with fishes and ending with mammals. Emphasis will be placed on the identification and evolution of vertebrates, comparative physiology, and descriptions of key characteristics and evolutionary innovations of the vertebrate classes, using a comparative approach. The laboratory will involve detailed observations of select vertebrates through behavioral observation, microscopy, dissection, and field techniques.

Minimum Qualifications

A master’s or PhD degree in biology or related fields is required. Industry experience and college-level teaching experience are preferred.
